<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3498 size-full\" title=\"Discover why shellfish meet the nutritional needs of humanity!\" src=\"https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/perche-i-molluschi-rispondono-ai-bisogni-nutrizionali-dellumanita-se-di-pesce.jpg\" alt=\"Shellfish soup in a red bowl\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/perche-i-molluschi-rispondono-ai-bisogni-nutrizionali-dellumanita-se-di-pesce.jpg 500w, https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/perche-i-molluschi-rispondono-ai-bisogni-nutrizionali-dellumanita-se-di-pesce-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 500px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mollusks are nutritious foods that<\/strong> fit well into most dietary patterns (especially those common in Mediterranean regions) but <strong>should be eaten in moderation in cases of <a href=\"https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/ittica\/vongole-e-colesterolo-ecco-come-assumerle-correttamente\/\">high cholesterol<\/a> or certain digestive conditions.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to an article published by an Italian newspaper called La Repubblica: <strong>\u201cFish, crustaceans, cephalopods, shellfish and seaweed could reduce the number of people suffering from nutritional deficiencies by 166 million by 2030 and contribute to a drop in prices (-26%), making blue foods more accessible to those living in poverty.\u201d<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In short, <strong>the food crisis alarm<\/strong> &#8211; caused by a global population that\u2019s too large for the current food supply\u2014 <strong>could be addressed by turning to the resources the sea has to offer<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>This <\/strong>wouldn\u2019t only help combat world hunger (in large part at least), but <strong>also improve the quality of our diets.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Compared to pork, beef, and poultry, blue foods contain higher amounts of vitamin A, calcium, iron and \u2014most importantly\u2014 Omega-3 fatty acids<\/strong>, which is the essential ally for maintaining heart, eye and brain health. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even a slight increase in the consumption of blue foods could lead to an 8% increase in calcium intake, 4% in iron and zinc, 186% in Omega-3s and 13% in vitamin B12.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>According to these estimates, the entire global population could have access to twice the current amount of food by 2050<\/strong>: we just need to support mollusks aquaculture. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Fish-based diet <\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3497 size-full\" title=\"Discover why Japan is among the countries with the highest life expectancy in the world!\" src=\"https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dieta-a-base-di-pesce.jpg\" alt=\"Japanese Market\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dieta-a-base-di-pesce.jpg 500w, https:\/\/stage.itticabuonocore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dieta-a-base-di-pesce-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 500px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fish-based diet, for many cultures, is nothing new.
